What this site is
LinkTag is a free UTM source generator: a campaign URL builder that appends the standard utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content parameters to any link. Paste a destination URL, fill in the fields, and copy a properly encoded, analytics-ready tagged link.
The tool is a static page with client-side JavaScript. There is no backend, no account system, no database, and no tracking. Everything happens in your browser — which also means there is nothing that can leak, be breached, or be sold. See the privacy policy for the full details.
What this site is not
- Not a link shortener. Tagged URLs stay full-length; use a shortener separately if you need short links.
- Not a click tracker. The tool assembles URLs. Visit and conversion data is recorded by your own analytics setup.
- Not affiliated with Google, Google Analytics, or any analytics vendor. UTM is an open, universal convention, and this builder implements the standard parameter set those platforms document.

Honest limits
A builder can assemble a perfect URL, but it cannot verify your analytics configuration, fix inconsistent naming across a team, or recover data from untagged links already shared. The guides exist precisely because the tool is only half the job: consistent values and tested links are the other half.
